Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, a social innovation and non-profit tertiary eye care institution, has been a beacon of service in the North Eastern region of India since its establishment in 1994. This noble endeavor was officially dedicated to the nation by the then Prime Minister, Late P V Narsimha Rao. In 2004, the institution was declared a “Center of Excellence,” by former Prime Minister of India; Dr. Manmohan Singh during his tenure as the Prime Minister.
